Statement of Purpose 

The Central Jersey Animal Shelter seeks to serve domestic animals and the people who care for them, implementing best practices in the animal welfare field.

Objectives

 Open a no-kill shelter in southern Middlesex County
 Provide return to owner and surrender/intervention services.
 Offer low-cost spay/neuter and wellness assistance.
 Adopt out domestic animals in need of new homes.
 Serve as a resource for central New Jersey residents and their pets.
 Support community cats and their caretakers through TNR.
 Work with local municipalities as an impound facility for animal control.

In 2017 an Advisory Committee was formed to provide feedback, ideas, and assistance during formation. The diverse group of six women and men, from various backgrounds, all have an interest in animal welfare and live in the tri-state area. We are thankful for their support and dedication.
